About

This restaurant makes its mark in a unique location, right in a truck stop gas station. RUN by passionate individuals, DAILY GRILL offers a taste of Punjab to the heartland of Ohio.

The space itself may feel like an American diner, but one whiff of the aroma from the kitchen reveals its true identity. Inspired by traditional Dhaba-style dining found in India, the restaurant marries cultural authenticity with its Midwestern surroundings. An unexpected stop transforms into an unforgettable culinary adventure.

"Great food. Bland atmosphere. Service...what service? My co worker and I were the only ones in the restaurant...attached to a truck stop gas station. The cook sat us down, took our order, cooked and checked us out. But the food was great. And it looked good. My recommendation is get take out. You'll be happy."

"As someone who has been to India 3 times, trust me when i say this is the best, most authentic tasting Punjabi food I've ever had in the US. You come here for the food and thats it. The service is nonexistent, the atmosphere non existent. This place is the most back of the gas station mom-pop type shindig you'll find. But let me tell you i come back again and again when i want fresh bomb indian food."

"While driving to Fort Wayne, Indiana, I noticed a sign on the highway for the "DAILY GRILL INDIAN RESTAURANT Punjabi Dhaba." The word "Dhaba" caught my eye, so I googled it and decided to give it a try. I made a U-turn and headed to the restaurant, which is run by Billu Bhaji and Pardeep Bhaji. From the outside, it looks like an American restaurant, and the inside ambiance is similar to an American diner. I was warmly welcomed by Billu Bhaji, and I told him I was hungry and wanted authentic Punjabi Indian food. I ordered Palak Paneer and Butter Naan. Let me tell you, the taste was truly authentic--I haven't had food like that in years. The service was excellent, and the owner even told me that if I didn't like the food, I wouldn't have to pay. Who says things like that in today's world? If you're ever in the area, I highly recommend this restaurant. The food is amazing, and the hospitality is exceptional. They even offered me a chai. Good luck to them, and I will definitely try to return with my family."

"Truly authentic Punjabi food! Good number of vegetarian options. They do NOT serve rice with sabji or daal (just like in India) so you may want to order it separately. The restaurant is almost entirely run by a Sikh gentleman who takes orders and cooks. The food is worth the wait! You can ask for mild, medium or hot spice levels. They put a good amount of mustard oil and kasoori methi, so if you want mild spice levels, you'll have to ask."

"If you're looking for a yummy meal, you can't go wrong with garlic naan and butter chicken. They're a match made in heaven. And don't forget to try the authentic tandoor wings. They're crispy, spicy and juicy. You'll love them!"

Most Liked things

The Butter Chicken remains a standout favorite. Many love the crispy Tandoor Wings for their juiciness and spice. The rich flavors, combined with fresh ingredients, make each dish worth the wait.

Additionally, the lassis—both Mango and Sweet—are highly recommended. A satisfying drink enhances the overall dining experience.

Most Disliked things

Some find the atmosphere rather bland. The setting lacks the vibrancy typically found in Indian restaurants. A few reports mention service may seem minimal, with one chef handling many tasks simultaneously. This may lead to delays, but the food makes up for the service missteps.

For those seeking a bustling dining environment, this may not be the best option. However, the taste of the food draws customers back time and again.
